Toasted Bread Sprinkled with Oregano

Ever ended up with extra bread and didn’t know what to do with it? If you’ve ever thrown a loaf of baguette into the dustin from the sheer lack of ideas to use it for, this recipe will be perfect for you. It helps you save that extra bread, create a yummy snack, and saves you from feel guilty for throwing food away when so many are dying of hunger.

TOASTED BREAD SPRINKLED WITH OREGANO (Makes 1 large tray)

Ingredients:

1) 1 loaf of baguette
2) 1/2 cup of vegetable cooking oil
3) 1/2 cup of dried oregano

Steps:

1) Slice the leftover bread into evenly-thick slices
2) Arrange the slices in a baking tray
3) Drizzle oil evenly over the bread slices
4) Sprinkle dried oregano over the slices
5) Toast the bread slices in oven at 200 deg cel for around 10 – 15 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy
6) Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish

Leftover bread:

Arrange sliced bread in a baking tray:

Drizzle oil and sprinkle dried oregano evenly over the bread slices:
